In the Hunger Games, I was not really fond of the careers. I think that they were rude and very persistent. I believe that they probably wanted Katniss dead. I think that they used Peeta, and made him tell about Katniss. Then once they had information, they just left him alone. I think Cato was the one that was all about killing. When they thought they killed the girl, they sent Peeta to go and make sure that she was dead. I think that the careers should have just laid off on the killing.
I agree with you Maggie. They did do a lot more killing than the other tributes did. Peeta only killed one tribute and he only did that by acident. I think that Peeta was working with the Careers only so that he could stay aliive longer. The careers did have an abundance of food. The had a whole mound of food that was surrounded by land mines. They have obviously had a little more training than the other tributes did. They are also from districts that have more food than the other, more poor districts have. When Katniss blew up that Career's food supply, it was a real shocker to them. I highly doubt that they had ever been as hungry as some of the other tributes have been. The are very arrogant and spoiled people. I am glad that they did not win the games.
I agree with Maggie I think they only used Peeta so that they could have a better chance of finding Katniss and possibly killing her. The Careers don't care about anyone except themselves because they are big and strong and assume they can protect themselves without help although they stay in groups, which in the end is not a good strategy for the Careers.
I think the Careers are very smart about their strategy for the games. I agree with Maggie also, as they could easily kill Peeta after they find Katniss. I also agree with Morgan, as he could have used this to keep Katniss and he alive. It was smarter than venturing out on their own. I find the Hunger Games themselves unfair on the fact that the Careers can always play so they are the most likely winners. I also dislike the Tessarae because some people are more likely to be chosen
