I think Katniss is a strong-willed girl who loves her little sister Prim and is willing to do anything to keep her alive. When Prim's named was called to go to the Hunger Games she volunteered herself to go to the Hunger Games instead of Prim. I think this shows how much she really loves Prim.
Katniss is a very strong girl with helping her family get through the rough times. Katniss stepping up to take her sister's place shows her courage and bravery. It also shows how much she loves her sister as Ian said above. She is very observant of how Peeta tries to win the people over with kindness.
I think Katniss is a really brave girl. Because, she would go hunting, and she took her sister's place in the Hunger Games. I also think that it would have been hard to take care of her mother and her little sister, when her father died. And I agree with Hadley and Ian, that Katniss really cares for and loves her sister a lot.
I agree with Hadley and that Katniss is a strong girl. I feel that she has the most responsibilities in the family sense her fathers death. She is very independant when it comes to her hunting skills. Katniss is very intelligent and I think she is really brave when she takes her sisters place to be a contestant in the Hunger Games.
As Ian and Hadley said, Katniss cares very much about her mother and sister. Because the mother cannot take care of the children, katniss decides to go hunting everyday to put food on the table. She could tell someone her mother cannot take care of her but she sees that prim loves her mother too much. That shows a strong family bond between katniss and prim.

She has done everything she can for her family once her father died in the mine.She has gone hunting everday with Gale just so her family can stay alive and be fed.She even puts her name in an extra three times in the hunger games drawing so she can exchange for grain and oil. I also think it is amazing and very brave that Katniss took Prim's place in the hunger games. Knowing that she might die by being a contestant in the hunger games.
In my opinion katniss is a girl thinks all the bad things only happen to district 12. Katniss is also a girl who caring, strong and has a soft heart for her sister.
I think Katniss is a very smart teenage girl who can get through almost everything she puts her mind to. She seems to care very much for her family and strives to keep her family well fed. She is a brave girl who seems to be a good contestant for the hunger games.
