I think when Katniss remembers Gale she thinks of better times when she was free. Even though she can not go back to those times it is still a comforting thought. I think all the things she learned from Gale will help her to catch food and kill other tributes. By doing so Gale will play an important part in Katniss winnig the games.
I think Katniss remembering Gale is a thought she gets when she hunts for food and puts out traps in the games. She remembers hunting with him and the good times she had with him. I also think she doesnt know if there is any romance going on between them, but i think she doesn't like him but he might like her. I think that Gale has helped her in many ways and this will help her excell in the Hunger Games.
I think Katniss has a mind full of good and bad thoughts (like everyone). I think Gale is in the good part. Gale obviously makes her feel free and happy and wanting to go home. Her emotions obviously are acting up in good ways and bad ways, I think thinking of Gale triggers them in the good direction, though it makes her sad because she wishes he was with her. Gale and her seem like they are very compatable, and they know different things. I think the things Gale has taught katniss will bring her further in the games. I think she will always think of him and miss him throughout the games.
