In these four chapters Katniss seems to be confused about everything she does.For example, at the beginning of the Games she was unsure about listening to what Haymitch told her to do or to go and grab some supplies. I think Katniss was smart to grab the backpack but at the same time she was stupid because she nearly got herself killed by the girl throwing knifes. Truthfully, if I were Katniss I would have gotten myself killed from the beginning because I would have tried to grab as much supplies as I could. Would have you chosen to run or grab supplies if you had been Katniss and the Games just begun? I personally would have grabbed supplies and then ran for it.
In chapters 9-12 I enjoyed reading about Katniss. I now see that Katniss has a anger issue. I say this because she shoved down Peeta when he told everyone that he had a crush on Katniss. I thought Katniss was smart not to go into the center of the arena, but instead grab the backpack and run. Katniss showed how intelligent she was with survival. Some examples are she didn't go fight the career tributes and Peeta. Also she made the snares that she learned to catch a rabbit. I believe that Katniss is a fighter because she never gave up trying to find water. I can't wait to see what happens to Katniss in the future chapters.
I still really like Katniss. I think she is very smart. I think it was smart for her to get as far away from the center of the arena. I agree with Morgan that she seems confused about almost everything she does. Katniss knows how to survive and provide food for herself. I felt really bad for Katniss when she found out Peeta was teamed up with the Careers, she felt betrayal, and I would have felt the same. I really want to keep reading to see what happens to Katniss and Petta.
In the beginning of the Games I was scared for Katniss. When she got a slow start she told herself that she had missed her chance because she was not ready. I thought she was going to let herself down and not try her hardest, but I was wrong. I believe that she did an amazing job at running as far as she could to get the most distance away from the other contestants. I would have done the same thing if I was in her place. I think Katniss did the smartest thing by running away. I am glad that Katniss found a tree to stay in and found a way to be camouflage. Katniss has done a good job so far about finding food to survive. I was worried if she was going to find water to survive, but when she found it I was relieved. Since she got water she can get back on track and be more powerful.
