I think that in these chapters, Katniss was very smart. I think that it was a wise choice to make and alliance with Rue. I also think that it was neat how Katniss figured out how to blow up the careers food supply. I would not have seen how the bag of apples connected to the wiring of the bomb. Katniss was in very dangerous situations, like the fire, but she got through them. I think that she is probably the bravest person in the book.
I think that Katniss has grown stronger throughout these chapters. She seems to be able to handle pain more easily now than she did in the beginning. Also, Katniss has become better about showing her anger towards the Capitol without causing her actions to upset them. I would not have been able to make it as far as Katniss if I were in the Games. I agree with Maggie about Katniss being very smart in these chapters. I agree with this because Katniss watched what she did more closley and made sure she didn't make any mistakes that could hurt her later on in the Games.
I think Katniss is very brave and smart to come up with the plan to destroy the food. I was confused about where she was sitting to spy on them, and how she was thrown back in the explosion. Was she that close to the career's before they left to look for her?
I think Katniss has changed a lot this far in the games because although she was independent before the games now she is even more because there are more challenges of surviving, getting food being one of them. And even though she is supposed to be by herself she takes care of Peeta which is another challenge.
I agree with hadley on how it was smart to destroy the food. I believe Katniss has faced more challenges during the games then ever before. She has to be careful about everything around her and must find food with out being caught. I agree with Maggie and how Katniss is very smart. I think she is very smart because of her actions and how she is very sneaky and makes sure not to be caught and to stay alive. I think Katniss is a very brave girl by being able to get out of the fire, and to find the bomb that was connected to the apples. I think she has a very good chance at winning.
Katniss is a very, very smart girl, and I admire her because of that. Before she does anything she thinks about it first and comes up with the safest plan. The first thing Katniss did that I think was dumb is becomeing allies with Rue. I think part of me would want to become allies with her, I am not a type of person who is independent, but in a competetion like this it would be hard for me. I would not want to get close to somebody that you know you will end up loseing or the will end up lossing you. Nothing is worse than having someone you love then having to watch them suffer. I think Katniss liked Rue because she reminds her of Prime who she misses very much.
Katniss finally started to trust someone. She finally was able to make alliances and give someone her food and medicine and just have a friend. I thought that Katniss was extremely intelligent to think of dropping the beehive on the career tributes. I thought it was funny when Katniss destroyed the career tribute’s food because then the career tributes started to lose their minds. I believe Katniss will receive a lot sponsors after she destroyed the career tributes food and how she showed how she knew how to hunt. I think that Katniss is starting to like Haymitch more since he sent her medicine to use for her burns.
I find Katniss falling for Peeta, and thinking of Gabe being jealous. I find her to show her true animal survival instincts while hunting and concealing Gabe and herself. I never expected her to blow up the Career's supplies. She has proved herself many times over in my opinion.
