At the begining of the chapters, Rue died. Katniss then relized what Peeta ment when he said, "I want to die as myself. Does that make sense? I don't want them to change me in there. Turn me into some kind of monster that I'm not." In my mind, this quoate means you should always strive to be true to yourself. It does not matter if they take away your freedom, your rights, or even your family. You must not let them change you. You must not give in to their wishes. No matter how tortured you have been, you must be true to yourself until death. So that even in death you defy them. For Katniss and Peeta they are being thrown into an arena to fight. The gamemakers have control over almost everything in their lives in the arena. They cannot, however, change the players. The gamemakers can try to turn the ordinary citizens into blood-thirsty killers, but sucess is not garentied. By not giving into the gamemakers' wishes, they are defying the Capital itself. Katniss refuses to let Rue go as just another piece in the Capital's games. She is determined for her death to be remembered, for Rue to die as herself. Defying the Capital is a dangerous move and will most likely endanger Katniss in the future. Finally, Katniss and Peeta team up. Katniss acts in love with Peeta but sadly, Peeta does not realize that it is all an act. Katniss assumes that Peeta is a great actor when in truth, he believes it is all real. The games are twisting their relationship. Perhaps if they had never been in the games, they could be friends. But, there is always the possiblity that if they had not been selected at the Reaping, they never would have become more than acquantinces.
At the feast, Thresh spares Katniss. He does it in order to repay his debt. The Capital is most likely puzzeled but Katniss understands. Maybe this is another reason why they people from the smaller districts band together against the Careers. They understand each other. Those in the smaller districts are independant, humble, and hate being in debt to others. It proves that the environment you are raised in does change your personality. I would rather be raised in the smaller districts because even if it means less food, it means more freedom.
When Rue died, I think that Katniss was very sad, and that is when she realized what Peeta meant about showing the gamemakers that they are not just an item in the game. She thought this was the perfect chance to do this, although it could cost her. I thought that using flowers to do this was a perfect way because the plants showed the farming for district 11, because that is the district Rue was from. I think that District 11 greatly appreciated Katniss' acts, which is why they sent her the bread. Katniss knew she did a great thing as well. She wanted Rue to die as herself.
When Claudius Templesmith announces that 2 tributes from the same district could win if they were the last two left, I thought that this could be an oppurtunity for Katniss and Peeta. I thought that Peeta would be hiding and trying to lay low because it said he was injured from Cato, and of course, he was hiding. I think Katniss was very relieved when she saw Peeta, because he was still alive after his cut. I think caring for Peeta could make her more vulnerable if she was found, because she would be trying to clean his leg and keep it from getting infected, while someone could be running at her. I think that when Peeta and Katnissed kissed in the cave, Katniss felt something, but it was still all an act to her, but Peeta thought it was all real.
When Katniss drugged Peeta so she could go to the feast, it was a smart idea. I knew that there would be medicine for Peeta in the bag, so I thought it was a smart idea. When Katniss ran for the bag and was tackled down by Clove, I thought that Katniss was doomed. But, Thresh tackled Clove off of her. He smashed Clove's head in, and then spared Katniss. I thought he only did this because they understood each other.
the rule that partners from the same district can win the games together completely changes the alliances in the field. the careers split up and katniss goes to join Peeta. all of this is leading up to so far the most annoying part of the book. katniss goes to the "feast" to fetch some medicine for Peeta. After foxface leaves katniss heads out. this part feels slowed down. after katniss releases her first arrow Clove throws her second knife and here it comes... for the next few pages i thought katniss was walking around with a knife in her head. what i think is the author didn't do a very good job of describing what happened or she wanted this reaction. Either way i didn't like it. it just made it slightly more confusing.
The death of Rue at the end of chapter 17 and beginning of chapter 18 gives Katniss motivation to kill the careers. When Ceasar announces that tributes from the same distric can win completly changes the strategies in the game. The Careers split up and Peeta and Katniss (the "star-crossed lovers") get together. when Katniss and Peeta find each other katniss finds peeta very weak and feeble. But Katniss tried to restore him back to health. They find a cave to live in for the time being. I agree with matty when it seems that katniss is basically walking around with a knife in her head after foxface threw the knife at her.
After Rues death katniss was sad, she felt as though she lost all of the hope. In my opinion it was meant to happen, because if Katniss and Rue were the last tributes in the games there is only one way ti win, KILL. I know if this happen Katniss and Rue wuold both be completely lost:(. I am glad it happened, and it taught Katniss a valuable lesson to KILL THE CAREERS.
Katniss finally understood what Peeta meant when he said "I do not just want to be a little item in the games." She agreed with this saying and she knows that Rue would be a strong believer of this saying too. I look at it like this: Each tribute in the games will die (besides one) and they either die by starvation, thirst/dehydration, and survival of the fittist. After a each tribute dies, no matter where they are and how far away from eachother they are they get picked up by the hover craft, then the cannon shoots. They all die the same and get picked up and honored the same. It is like a routine to me, which is not good no one should die like this, people who die should die with SOME honor. After each tribute dies they are forgotten, maybe not to their families, but everyone else in the district. Peeta and Katniss do not want to be like this, they want to be different. Katniss took this to heart and made Rue and herself different. By covering Rue with beautiful flower she was making a difference for Rue, and herself. Rue died differently, and with honor and Katniss knew Rue would never be forgotten. People would refer to Rue as the girl covered in flowers:D!! I think she really made a difference.
When Claudius Templesmith announced that if their were two tributes from the same district could win if they are the last ones left, and they could work together. Peeta is very hurt and sick, he NEEDS care that is where Katniss comes in. I think the kisssing thing is not foe the audiance I think it is for loved and care for eachother. I think they do love eachother and they need eacother, Being trapped in the arena they probably get lonely. They want someone to care about, to worry about, to LOVE. They do need eachother, also Katniss has that motherly side to her which helps Peeta with his cut.
Sometimes with Peeta, he gets ackward about liking Katniss. I think Katniss feels ackward with him too, but overall I think they need eachother and will win.
I think when Katniss fed Peeta the pills that put him to sleep, I think in the end it will be for his own good, but if Katniss dies at the banquet...UH Oh would be all I say. Its obvious that Peeta will not survive and district 12 would not win the games 8(
I think that it was very sad that Rue died. I agree that when she was killed, that gave Katniss motivation to take out all of the careers. I think that the careers killed Rue because they figured that she was close to Katniss. I thought that it was very sweet when Katniss sang to Rue. That showed how much that she ment to her.
I think that the rule change was a very smart move. When Claudius announced the change, I was thinking, "yes!" I was glad that Katniss and Peeta would both have a chance to survive. I figured that it would come down to Peeta and Katniss, and that they would have to kill each other. I was glad that they could both win.
I was very suprised that Katniss and Peeta reunited. I figured that they would eventually, but I did not think that he would be dying. Katniss took very good care of Peeta when he was hurt. She treated him very kindly, even though she new that he was with the careers.
I agree with Annie about the sleeping pills. I thought that Peeta was not going to survive if Katniss left. I thought that maybe he would try to go and look for her, and get hurt again or killed. It was very suspensful and I was just waiting for something bad to happen.
I think that what Katniss did with Rue's body was sweet. It was also very dangerous. I think that it was an act of revenge against the capitol. If the peopleat the capitol find it offensive, they might get Katniss into some seriouse touble. I cannot believe that there are only six people left in the games. I just cannot put the book down now. I feel like I have to know what happens. I am so glad that Katniss found Peeta before he died. She was very smart to follow the trail of blood that Peeta left on the rocks. I had a feeling that she would find him i was still surprised when she did. I have to say that it was very clever the way thst Peets hid himself. I do wonder how long he had been there in the mud. The gamemakers never stop surprising me. When they set the trap for all of the players. I knew that Katniss and Rue being allies would be important. If katniss had not befriended Rue Thresh would have probably killed her right there on the spot like he did the other girl. I am so glad that she got the medicine that Peeta needed. This means that they will both survive another day in the arena.
I wasnt' very surprised when Peeta and Katniss reunited because when the annoucer said that two tributed could win, if from the same district, I knew that they would reunite. I was glad that Katniss fed Peeta the sleeping pills. She kind of betrayed him by lying to him, but at the same time she going off to save his life. I am just glad that both of them are still alive at this point in the games.
Katniss decorates Rue's body after she dies. She does this to remind the Capitol that she is not a "piece in their games". I believe she also did this out of a love for Rue. They were sort of a family during the games and felt a sense of safety when together. By decorating Rue with flowers and joining together with Peeta, she was trying to say to the viewers that the tributes have actual feelings, and the Hunger Games are not simply games. They are filled with real people, sadness and powerful emotions. Maybe by acting out, Katniss was showing that she held out hope that these emotions could make some viewers realize how shameful the games were.
I was suprised when they changed the rules by allowing two tributes from the same district to be able to live instead of justone person. I was releaved when Katniss found Peeta. I don't agree with Lauren about Katniss betraying Peeta. I believe that Katniss didn't betray Peeta by giving him the medicine to make him fall asleep because if she hadn't gone to the feast, Peeta would have been dead. And if Peeta had died then the Games would take a different turn and Katniss might not survive. I think Katniss and Peeta will win the Hunger Games and go back home to District 12. If they go home I think Katniss will have to figure outif she truley loves Peeta or if she loves Gale. I hope she and Gale end up together because they seem to talk to each other about anything and they make great hunters as a team.
I agree with you, Morgan. I do not think that Katniss was betraying Peeta by feeding him the sleeping syrup. Katniss saved his life by doing so. Even though Peeta did not want Katniss to go to the feast, he would have died if she hadn't. If Katniss hadn't gone she would have given up Peeta, and in doing so, given up a part of herself. Katniss said that she could not have endured anything else if Peeta had died, and if he had, Katniss would not be able to finish the Games. This is where I disagree with you about Gale vs. Peeta. Katniss said that she needed Peeta, and that it felt like he had become a part of her. They had a strong connection formed from being in the Games. Gale and Katniss were great hunting partners, they made a great team, and I see how you are thinking, but they did not have a connection formed by life and death situations. When I first read the book, I said that I wanted Katniss to end up with Gale, but now that I have read the book again, and I see the characters as who I didn't picture them as before, I changed my mind and I thought that Peeta and Katniss would make a better team. They proved it while they were in the arena of the Hunger Games.
I think the idea of changing the rule to allowing two winners was just for the viewers to watch two people befriend each other and then watch them suffer knowing only one can win. The rule did work because Peeta had someone to take care of him, especially when Katniss went to get the bag from the feast and she put her own life in danger for him.
I disagree with morgan in a way. She was not betraying Peeta in a way. She did nothing to harm him. However she did hurt his pride. IN his mind he is a coward. He didn't do anything. He was as helpless as a baby. That would hurt my pride.
I was very scared when clove had hid Katniss with the knife. I though it might have been over because Katniss was out of arrows and she was severely bleeding from her forehead. Just before all was over, Thresh appeared and broke Clove's skull with a stone. Katniss was amazed, but still frightened by Thresh. But Thresh wasn't there to hurt Katniss, he was there for the supplies. Katniss asks why he let her go. Thresh said that they were even now because of Katniss taking care of Rue in her final minutes of life. This amazes me because could have killed Katniss right on the spot, but he didn't. He could have gotten closer to ending ending the games and going home if he won. I hope that it isn't Katniss that ends up having to kill Thresh.
I agree with Tyler. They added that rule to the games just to spruce it up a bit. This rule works very well for Katniss and Peeta because they are both alive and in good shape. I think that they should have told this rule sooner in the games because there would be more districts that had both their tributes still alive.
Honestly, I don't like the lovers thing. That is probably the only flaw I think with the book. I don't really want to imagine the condition of Peeta's wound. The fact that the wound goes down to the bone is a little scary. Although I'm not sure how he managed to live, seeing as that cut must have cut a major vein or artery. I do have to say that the routine does seem to work and is a good strategy. It got them many good items such as the feast at the end of chapter 22.
These chapters surprised me. Some good surprises and some bad surprises. One terrible surprise was Rue dying. I thought Rue would win! She was the smallest and the youngest and I thought she would pull herself together and win. I thought the Katniss and Rue were a perfect team! I was so sad when she died.
I also can't believe the new game rule! The district teams can be ally's! I can't believe it! I just new from the beginning that Peeta and Katniss would end up working together! It frightened me when Katniss went looking for Peeta and he was under the ground!!
I disagree with you Charles, I think the whole "Lovers" thing is great. Katniss and Peeta act like they love eachother! Peeta always wants to kiss Katniss, and Katniss looks out for him, and even if she doesn't want to admit it she wants to kiss him too!
Charles-I do agree with you on the whole "imagining the wound" it sounds gross!!! I can't believe he, as in Peeta, lived by himself for days with the venom from the tracker jackers, and the wound thats deep enough to see the bone!
I'm not sure what to think of Katniss drugging Peeta, but I think it was a pretty good idea. If not, Peeta probably would have died, and the scavenger pack on the table unneeded. Some of the viewers might have thought it to be a bit rash, but it was necessary.
Annie: Well that's just because I don't like that type of story. I also can't tell whether they're pretending or not. I'm pretty sure Katniss is, but not Peeta. Also, I doubt she would be doing this if not for the sponsors, etc.
During chapters 18-22 I was worried about Katniss and Peeta. I was glad that Katniss found Peeta, but I was upset that Rue died. I think Katniss was depressed that Rue was killed because they had become such great friends and they trusted eachother. I think Katniss had more confindence in herself now. I believe that Katniss had more faith in herlself to kill the other contestants because they killed Rue. I think the announcement that two people could win the Games, if they were from the same district helped Katniss get over the fact that Rue died. Once Katniss heard this she screamed out Peeta's name. I think she did this becuase she was speechless and did not know what to say.
When Katniss and Peeta heard that there was going to be a feast at Cornucopia I knew Katniss was going to force herself to go to it. I thought the feast was a trick to get all the contestants together to fight. I think that Katniss had to go to it because she needed supplies to keep Peeta alive, and if she did not get them he would die in a few days. I was scared that Katniss was going to get killed by someone at the feast, but I think she tried her hardest to keep Peeta and her family alive. When she got back to the cave and drugged Peeta I think she was doing to right thing because if she did not Peeta would have died. At this point of the book I think Katniss and Peeta are both going to survive and become the winners of the Hunger Games.
when Katniss heard that there was going to be a chance to save Peeta, who she had grown very fond of, she was going to go and sieze the moment. i agree with all the other people who think that she did not betray Peeta when she wenyt against her word. If she had not did what she did then Peeta would have been dead and Katniss and Peetas family would have been devistated, so i think that she was justified. Then when she got a knife through her head, it stunned the mess out of me and i thought she would die shortly after, but she didn't. The way that Clove died was kind of screwed up, but i think that if she could she would have done the same thing to Katniss so she deserved it in as way.
I think these were my favorite chapters of the book so far. The saddest part of the book so far is when Rue dies. I felt really bad for Katniss but that is why I would not want a allie. When they change the rules I feel happy for Katniss. I also think it was really smart of him to blend in with the mud because he was hurt and sick. Katniss proved that she can take care of Peeta and that is also another thing I like about her. when Katniss went to the fest and Clove almost killed her I was kind of grossed out. I was very happy when Rue's friend killed Clove and let Katniss get away.
I think the rule change was probably for Katniss and Peeta becuase they would have to team up, to win the games. I agree with Hannah and that she would have to force herself to go the the feast becuase I knew she really wanted to help Peeta. I felt that the feast was just to get more action for the viewers and not just to get supplies. I thought Katniss was going to get killed when Clove got her. I was relieved when Thresh came and saved her. I thought Katniss was very anguish to give the medicine to Peeta because at any minute he could have died. I personally wouldn't have thought of a way to get food, the way Katniss and Peeta did, it was really clever. This book is really good and I think Peeta and Katniss will win the Hunger Games.
the rule change was obviously for katiniss and peeta because they "love each other". i was surprised when thresh came to save katniss but i knew she wasnt gonna die because she is the narrator and shes not gonna die. it must of been hard hunting with peeta because of his leg
Chapter 18 contained end rhyme in the song Katniss sings to Rue when she is dying. I thought that chapter 18’s beginning was good, but yet very gloomy. I thought Katniss was smart to think of decorating Rue’s body with flowers because that showed that Rue and Katniss were actual people and not just pieces in a game. I believe that district 11 gave Katniss the gift to say thank for making Rue look special. I think that Katniss’ body is very complex because it tries to cheer her up by dreaming about Rue unhurt. I think the Game Makers changed the rules in the Hunger Games because I think Katniss and Peeta were both desired by the capitol’s people, and it would be sad to have them kill one another. I thought it was funny how Peeta still had a since of humor even though he was hurt badly. While I was reading the book I thought that Peeta’s leg was infected because of all the symptoms that Katniss described. I thought Katniss was brave when she stood by Peeta and helped him. I know that it would be hard to see someone in that condition. I thought Katniss and Peeta are becoming closer and closer because they watch each other’s backs while one of them sleeps. I got a disturbing image when I thought of Peeta’s cut once Katniss described him having blood poisoning. I thought that Katniss was clever, but kind of rude by drugging Peeta so she could go and get medicine for him. I thought it was awesome how Thresh saved Katniss from Clove. I think that the end of chapter 21 was the most suspenseful part in the whole entire book.
Peeta and Katniss fell head over heels for each other; they were in love. Peeta broke away from his alliance group and Katniss found him wounded and now was there by his side. Katniss tried her best to keep Peeta healthy and to help his wounded leg. Did Haymitch know that they were going to fall in love? Katniss thought that he was sending a very clear message; “One kiss equals one pot of broth”
i was surprised when they changed the rule but also happy because know Peeta and Katniss are re united and like nick says the "Loved each Other" Peeta had a disadvantges with his leg but he fought threw it and im glad. The rule change i think was for katniss because they understood her position with her family so i am glad to see the rule change
In chapters 18 through 22 Rue dies, a true tragedy. I nearly weep at the sadness it must have brought Katniss. Rue was hope again, she felt safe, secure, and sure to win. Though this does give Katniss a bit of an advantage since her fury will come out on top of the other contestants. She also knows she must try her hardest to bring down the capitol as she braids Rue's lovely hair entwined with flowers. She despises the capitol and knows this tragedy must bring pane across the capitol and district eleven. As she sees district eleven's bread she thanks them and knows it must have taken them a great deal to make the precious loaf. She now understands what Peeta was doing all along, protecting her. This is wonderful for now she can have hope again after the gamemakers take a twist leading them to become allied. Though this could also hold her back since Peeta is injured. As always Katnis does the right things healing his wounds as best as she can and get the medicine from the feast to help them become a strong team. Though this still holds her back since she was struck above the eye, yet spared by Thresh. I feel sorrow for Peeta due to the fact Katniss is just playing along with Peeta, and Peeta truly loves her. I believe he sees she does not fully understand his love for her after asking what he means when explaining his longing to be with her. Katniss understands she must keep being as romantic as possible with Peeta as she hears little comments that Haymitch may have said to her if he was there. She does what she knows she can to get the assets she needs to survive and smiles as Peeta takes the supplies in aw. I believe as long as Katniss keeps Peeta by her side she will win, I am nearly sure of it
I thought chapters 18-22 were very suprising. In chapter 18, I liked how the Gamemakers chaged the rule that not one but two tributes can win the Games this year. I also agree with Shane and Nick.I think that the gamemakers were thinking about Katniss and Peeta when they changed this Rule. I liked that Peeta and Katniss came together again and they helped each other out. I also think it was great that Katniss helped Peeta with his leg. I also have a question. Is Katniss starting to have feeling towards Peeta?
In these chapters Peeta and Katniss grow a strong relationship. Katniss helped heal Peeta's injuries and even risked her life to get the proper medicine for his blood poisining. When she was getting the medication she got injured by a girl from district one. during her healing Peeta took care of her.
The author made the love almost seem fairytail like. In the beginning made a vow to have no relationship with him and now she is nursing him and kissing him every five minutes. I can almost feel the love filling up the little shelter.
I think it was great that both tributes have a chance to survive but I don't think its good for the viewers. The viewers want to see tension between players while at the same time some of them have feelings for each other. But as Katniss and Peeta continue to work together their love grows stronger every minute. I agree with Shane that it's great they don't have to kill each other but I think to the viewers its more exciting to have tension between players.
I thought that it was good and bad that rue died in these chapters. Rue was a dear friend to Katniss who cared for her a lot. The death not only saddened her but lit anger in her to kill the careers with all her might.
the fact that katniss decorating rue's corps is very strange. i understand why she did it, but there other ways to honor rue or rebel against their sociaty. she could have just put a flower in rue's hair instead of smothering her dead body with them. she could also have wrote a strongly worded letter and left it by her, because there is not doubt that the cameras wound be interested in whatever she did and zoom in on it.
ReplyDeleteI think that the rule change was a very smart move.
ReplyDeleteI wasnt' very surprised when Peeta and Katniss reunited because when the annoucer said that two tributed could win, if from the same district, I knew that they would reunite. I was glad that Katniss fed Peeta the sleeping pills. She kind of betrayed him by lying to him, but at the same time she going off to save his life. I am just glad that both of them are still alive at this point in the games.
ReplyDeleteKatniss decorates Rue's body after she dies.
ReplyDeleteI was suprised when they changed the rules by allowing two tributes from the same district to be able to live instead of justone person.
ReplyDeleteI was releaved when Katniss found Peeta.
ReplyDeleteI think the idea of changing the rule to allowing two winners was just for the viewers to watch two people befriend each other and then watch them suffer knowing only one can win. The rule did work because Peeta had someone to take care of him, especially when Katniss went to get the bag from the feast and she put her own life in danger for him.
ReplyDeleteI disagree with morgan in a way. She was not betraying Peeta in a way. She did nothing to harm him. However she did hurt his pride. IN his mind he is a coward. He didn't do anything. He was as helpless as a baby. That would hurt my pride.
ReplyDeleteI was very scared when clove had hid Katniss with the knife.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Tyler. They added that rule to the games just to spruce it up a bit. This rule works very well for Katniss and Peeta because they are both alive and in good shape. I think that they should have told this rule sooner in the games because there would be more districts that had both their tributes still alive.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I don't like the lovers thing. That is probably the only flaw I think with the book. I don't really want to imagine the condition of Peeta's wound. The fact that the wound goes down to the bone is a little scary. Although I'm not sure how he managed to live, seeing as that cut must have cut a major vein or artery.
ReplyDeleteI do have to say that the routine does seem to work and is a good strategy.
ReplyDeleteI also can't believe the new game rule!
ReplyDeleteAnnie: Well that's just because I don't like that type of story.
ReplyDeleteWhen Katniss and Peeta heard that there was going to be a feast at Cornucopia I knew Katniss was going to force herself to go to it.
ReplyDeleteWhen she got back to the cave and drugged Peeta I think she was doing to right thing because if she did not Peeta would have died.
ReplyDeleteI think these were my favorite chapters of the book so far.
ReplyDeleteI think the rule change was probably for Katniss and Peeta becuase they would have to team up, to win the games.
ReplyDeletethe rule change was obviously for katiniss and peeta because they "love each other". i was surprised when thresh came to save katniss but i knew she wasnt gonna die because she is the narrator and shes not gonna die. it must of been hard hunting with peeta because of his leg
ReplyDeletei dissagree with olivia because i think the gamemakers really liked katniss so the supplies were for the action and to help peeta
ReplyDeleteChapter 18 contained end rhyme in the song Katniss sings to Rue when she is dying.
ReplyDeletePeeta and Katniss fell head over heels for each other; they were in love.
ReplyDeletei was surprised when they changed the rule but also happy because know Peeta and Katniss are re united and like nick says the "Loved each Other" Peeta had a disadvantges with his leg but he fought threw it and im glad. The rule change i think was for katniss because they understood her position with her family so i am glad to see the rule change
ReplyDeleteIn chapters 18 through 22 Rue dies, a true tragedy.
ReplyDeleteShe now understands what Peeta was doing all along, protecting her.
ReplyDeleteIn these chapters Peeta and Katniss grow a strong relationship. Katniss helped heal Peeta's injuries and even risked her life to get the proper medicine for his blood poisining. When she was getting the medication she got injured by a girl from district one. during her healing Peeta took care of her.
ReplyDeleteThe author made the love almost seem fairytail like. In the beginning made a vow to have no relationship with him and now she is nursing him and kissing him every five minutes. I can almost feel the love filling up the little shelter.
ReplyDeleteI think it was great that both tributes have a chance to survive but I don't think its good for the viewers. The viewers want to see tension between players while at the same time some of them have feelings for each other. But as Katniss and Peeta continue to work together their love grows stronger every minute. I agree with Shane that it's great they don't have to kill each other but I think to the viewers its more exciting to have tension between players.
ReplyDeleteI thought that it was good and bad that rue died in these chapters. Rue was a dear friend to Katniss who cared for her a lot. The death not only saddened her but lit anger in her to kill the careers with all her might.
ReplyDeletethe fact that katniss decorating rue's corps is very strange. i understand why she did it, but there other ways to honor rue or rebel against their sociaty. she could have just put a flower in rue's hair instead of smothering her dead body with them. she could also have wrote a strongly worded letter and left it by her, because there is not doubt that the cameras wound be interested in whatever she did and zoom in on it.
ReplyDelete
