In these last few chapters, the Games came to an end. At first I was almost sad that they were over but then I realized that I was being no better than the people in the Capital. Most of the contestants seemed like honorable people; I wish I could have learned more about them. Like Katniss, I admire the contestants. Foxface for her intelligence, Rue for her heart, Peeta for his kindness, and Katniss for her wits. Im sure that some of the other tributes that we knew little about had redeeming qualities. Cato however, is partially insane in my opinion. I think that the pressure of the games drove him to madness. I hate to think that all those people died. You cannot, however, place the blame on the tributes. All the contestants were driven by the need to survive, and survival ment killing others. I don't think that you can imagine a situation like this until you expirence it. All the blame is to be placed on the Capital. The torture is unbearable. The Capital is so cruel to the districts; it is inhumane. They treat the people as if they are merely play toys. They don't even have the decency to treat them as human beings. I do not blame the citizens of the Capital (it is clear they do not live in a democracy) but I wonder how they have remained ignorant for so many years. Do they dismiss the thought simply because they don't want to believe it? President Snow however has no excuse. No one in their right mind would torture people the way the districts are tortured. It rises the question, why is he so cruel to them? If District Thirteen was truely distroyed then he should have nothing to fear. I believe that District Thirteen is in existence and that the president is terrified for the people to find out. It would only take one spark of hope for the people to rebell. In my opinion, the most horrifying thing in the book is the muttations. Who ever concieved the idea of making the dogs look like the tributes was a truely hateful person. It was probably the same individual who decided to make a temporary revision to the rules. I don't know how they can live with themselves.
Finally, after the games are over, Peeta's and Katniss's relationship crumbles. I once again blame this on the Capitol. It may seem that I am being unfair but I truely believe that they are the main reason life in the districts is so depressing. If Katniss and Peeta had not been forsed into the arena, she never would have lied to him. You cannot blame Katniss because she was trying to save their lives. I do think that Katniss likes Peeta but she has not had time to sort through her thoughts. Their situation can be described in one word: unfair. The games destroyed any friendship they would have had and any hopes for the future. I pity the victors more than any other postion in this book.
When Katniss and Peeta were the last two left, I thought that this was a predictable ending from the minute Peeta announced that he loved Katniss. I think that in some way, the gamemakeers were helping Peeta and Katniss, and bringing them closer and closer together. I think that when the dogs were released, they were released closer to Cato because the audience and the gamemakers wanted Cato to die, so Katniss and Peeta could both survive, but Cato runs right towards them.
To me, the gamemakers and the Capitol are sick people who just want to see people die as entertainment. I think that they shouldn't punish every district for one districts faults. The Capitol is extremely unfair to the Districts, and they treat them like dirt. I think that the Capitol thinks of the 12 districts as where they get their products from, they don't care that people are there dieing every day and getting nothing for producting their products. They were also the reason Peeta and Katniss' relationship got destroyed. If there wasn't such things as the Hunger Games, Peeta and Katniss would have been fine and probably would have been friends, but they both got picked at the Reapings, so Peeta announced that he loved Katniss to get sponsors. Then, Katniss basically told Peeta it was an act, which made him very mad.
I agree i think the Capitol is filled with sick spoiled rotton animals. While the districts battle it out in the arena and on a day to day basis to stay alive the captols population is siting back makeing jokes about the districts. I think since District 12 was closest to District 13 they get the worst of it. They get the worst sponsers in the arena and the worst food sent to there Distict so they have no chance of getting good sponsers. It is totaly unfair way of goverment and makes me wonder what other nations have come to.
In the final five chapters the games end! The victors are katniss and Peeta of district 12.
I agree with nate at the fact that the peple in the capitol are in fact, sick, spoiled, and rotten animals. But after cato had died the gamemakers pulled a twist on katniss and Peeta, saying that only one could be champion instead of two. I thought that katniss was going to kill peeta here but when one would not kill the other i was very surprised. The rest of the story goes basically as real life, they get an interview, the gamemakers are made and peeta and katniss have to pretend to be "madly in love with each other". The ending makes me want to know more though, it just drops off...
Ian, you'll be excited to know that The Hunger Games is actually a trilogy. The next installment, Catching Fire is already out...so you can keep reading about it and you will know more! EXCITING!!!
throughout the story katniss changes her mind about the people and events around her. sometimes she changes her mind so fast its like she is having mood swings. although she is not because mood swings are random and possibly not having a cause. katniss changes her mind based on something. this something could be something she sees, knows or hears. these are reasonable causes for a sudden shift in opinion. one other cause is the internal conversation she has with herself. this could be seen as internal conflict, but also she might be growing more insane as the story goes on.
I also agree with Nate, once Peeta announced that he liked katniss you just knew they would end up the bottom two. When the announcement came that the last two people in each district could work together and there would be two winners, I was so excited. I never really thought about that it was the mean gamemakers being jerks, just to provoke the crowd. I hate the gamemakers in the book they make me so mad. It made me grossed out about the mutated animals that were really the dead tributes, but the author really thought about this you could tell the book was very put together. I also agree the capitol is SICK AND DISGUSTING..they make me want to throw up. They literally enjoy watching innocent children kill eachother, die of starvation, or being attacked buy mutated/people/wolves. Each district has to watch their tributes go down one by one and they can't do ANYTHING about it... Though besides the capitol I enjoyed the book so much, and i am extremely sad that i finished ;(
I really enjoyed reading these last few chapters! I thought that the way that it ended was very interesting. I figured that it would come down to Katniss and Peeta, but I thought they would have to fight for the win. I was glad that Cato was finally killed by the animals. I did not really understand why the gamemakers brought the wolves into the games. It was a very unprodictable twist in the story. I thought that Cato was never going to die. I was confused about why he did not die as soon as the animals got him.
I was just waiting for the wolves to get to Peeta and take him off of the cornucopia and kill him. It was a very suspensful moment in the book. When Claudius announced that there could only be one winner, I was dissapointed. I did not want one of them to die. I was curious about what they were going to do. I could not believe that as soon as they we about to kill themselves, he announced that they were both winners.
I was sad that Katniss and Peeta did not have a very good relationship at the end of the book. I would have been very relieved to have won the games, and have my friend alive with me. I think that Katniss and Peeta should have ended up in a relationship.
I agree with nate when he says that the people in the capitol are sick. I also agree with Camille when she says that the people are alos inhumane. To watch mainly children fight for their live in an arena is sick and twisted. I do not know how they find the games entertaining. I was very surprised to find that Foxface was Peeta's only kill in the Games. I thought that before he ngot injured that he would have killed somebody in the arena. I was at first surprised that Cato just ran past Peeta and Katniss. The the mutants came. If there was one for each of the people that died then that means that there were twenty-one of them in the arena. When the games were over i felt relieved that the gamemakers allowed both of them to live. In the final interview Peeta anounced that he now had a plastic leg. This freaked me out. I thought that Katniss had helped him by using her arrow. In the end, i thought that they would end up in a relationship. I felt really bad for peeta when Katniss told him that everything she had said to him about how she liked him was a joke. She basically broke his heart and then wondered why he be came very distant from her. He actually did love her and that is what broke his heart .
I'm so glad that Katniss and Peeta won! Although, I can't believe the trick the capitol played on them in the end. When Claudias Templesmitha nnouced that there could only be one winner, not two, even if they were from the same district, I was really surprised and in shock. How could they do that, change the rules at the very end of the games? I was relieved, though, when Katniss wouldn't kill Peeta. Instead they both would eat the berries, the berries that would kill you almost instantly. Thank you Claudias for changing the rules again, before both of them ended up dead.
I think it was extremely smart of Katniss to pretend to kill herself and Peeta with the berries. She knew that the Gamekeepers would be punished if neither of the contestants won. So, Katniss realized that if she were to pretend that both of them were going to die, the Gamekeepers would have to let at least one of them live. I would never have thought up a plan as elaborate as that. I think Katniss was very clever, but I do think that, now Katniss and Peeta will have to continue pretending that they love each other, although Peeta wasn't pretending. I felt bad for Peeta when Katniss told him she was only pretending to be in love with him, but I was sure that somehow everything would be fine, and both Katniss and Peeta would be okay.
I am commenting on Lauren's post. Lauren, I was also glad that Katniss and Peeta had both won. I was sure that atleast Katniss would win, but I was relieved that both survived. I felt like it was not fair to the two survivors, and the other contestants to only allow one to win, although they had changed the rules so that both could win. I felt like the Capitol had betrayed them, and was trying to make them pay for anything that they had done. I was relieved after Katniss made the decision about the berries, because, now both of them could win, and obviously neither of them would have been able to live without the other. I was happy that this was the way the Games ended.
That was probably one of the cleverest change of events in any book I have ever read. It was so unpredictable. I never even saw the berry trick coming. What she did nobody expected. It was a stroke of genuis on her part.
I agre with Hope. I am glad both Katniss and Peeta survived. It would be hard to write of a sequel if both of them died. Most readers will have become attached to both characters by now. I would have hated it if either of them had died. I think most people would agree with me.
I was hanging onto the book so tightly when they almost ate the berries. It was like all they worked through during the games would be a waste. I love the way the author wrote those few pages because of all the suspense she put into it.
Katniss was very angry with the capitol. She wanted both Peeta and her to die, which would make the gamekeepers and the capitol look bad because there would be no winner. This shows a bit of Katniss's rebellious side, which she hadn't shown much throughout the book.
I am glad that Katniss didn't get punished in anyway because of the berry incident by the capitol. I didn't want anything bad to happen to Katniss because after all, she did just go through the Hunger Games.
I agree with Lauren. I am glad that Katniss and Peeta won, but i was very shocked when Claudius changed the rules right at the end of the games. It an elaborate plan for Katniss and Peeta to eat the berries, which would make the gamekeepers look bad. Luckily, Claudius stopped them before they ate the nightlock berries.
In these five chapters I was so excited when Cato died! Then the Gamemakers through a twist into the games. Peeta and Katniss were smart to "eat the bad berries at the same time!" Katniss and Peeta both new that the Gamemakers wouldn't want that to happen. It would have been a waste of the games if Katniss and Peeta died!
In these five chapters it was nervewrecking for me! I was waiting for someone to win the games. I had a feeling that Katniss and Peeta were going to win because they were so strong and they would try 110% to win. When Thersh was killed I was shocked. I thought he was going to be the last contestant alive with Katniss and Peeta. I was sad that Thersh died because saved Katniss's life, and did not kill her because of Rue. If I was Katniss I would not want to kill him because I would feel gulity because he saved my life, so I would want another contestant to kill him. I thought that Peeta was going to eat the berries because he did not know the forest well, but he found out not to eat them when Foxface died from eating them. When Katniss, Petta, and Cato were the only contestants left I was anxious to find out which tribute won.
The final fight between Katniss, Peeta, and Cato was very scary for me, but when the animals came it made it worse. Katniss and Peeta were no longer trying to kill Cato, but they were trying to save themselves. I thought it was weird that the animals attacking them were the contestants. When Cato was killed by the animals, the cannon was shot but Katniss and Peeta did not know what to do. They didn't know where to go to stop the games. Then Claudius made the announcement that only one contestant can win the games. I was so suprised and I did not know if Katniss or Peeta was going to die for the other. When they decided to eat the poisonous berries together I thought they were doing the right thing. I would have done the same thing to make the gamemakers look bad, and show the gamemakers that there could be no winner. Right before they put the berries in their mouths Claudius annouced that there could be two winners. At the end I didn't like Katniss because she did not try to fix her fight with Peeta. I wished Katniss would have chosen who she loved. Overall I loved this book, and I never wanted to stop reading it!
Annie, that's just wrong. You should not be excited when someone dies, but you can be excited when Katniss and Peeta won. I don't think it was very smart for them to "eat" the nightlocks, either. I think Katniss deserved to win more than Peeta, regardless of the "lover" routine.
I wonder how long the Games would have gone on had Foxface not eaten the Nightlock berries. Seeing as it is incredibly hard to catch her, and she is swift, I think it would have gone on for, at least, another week. I didn't understand why Cato just charged at, but then right passed, Peeta and Katniss. The mutts came as a surprise to me. They just make the Capitol seem so sick and disturbed for making the mutts like the other tributes. How they managed to do that, though, is unknown to me. Why the mutts didn't finish Cato off, I don't know. The scene was really disturbing, how Cato was described as a hunk of bleeding flesh. So, honestly, I'm glad that they finally finished him off, and I can see why he was begging to be killed.
When thresh died i felt sick becuase i was really happy becuase i would not have like the image if Katniss and Peeta killing Thrash because without him Clove would have killed Katniss without a second thought and she would have done it with ease and pleasure. After she put the needle into Peeta and they were somwhat healled and they went to the plain i was just waiting until Cato came out of the forest. when he did he came with palls, hahah i thought that was funny because you would never think about him running away from anything, especailly not death. It really kreeped me out when Katniss noticed that the mutts had the eyes of the fallen tributed. When the mutts got ahold of Cato i wanted him to die but not nearlly as brutally as he did. when Katniss shot him i think that was the best thing that could have happenen to him. when they were going to eat the bewrries i think that was geniuse becauase it worked. In the end when Peeta found out that Katniss was being fake it was just as painfull as it was when it happened to me. I will be reading the next book.
The last days of the games were really good. When the announced there could only be one winner I was shocked. I expected Peeta and Katniss to go home together. I do not like the people in the capitol, first I do not like the games, its pretty sick to me, making kids fight and kill each other. Second, all they care about is a winner. When they about ate the berrys it scared me, and I was really relived when they took both of them back to the captiol.
These chapters were very interesting! I had a feeling Katniss and Peeta will win the games. When the mutts came it was a shock to me because I would have never thought there would be some kind of twist at the end of the book. Katniss and Peeta really didn't care about Cato at the moment, they were more worried about the mutts. It was surprising to know that the mutts were the contestants, I would have never figured that out. When Cato put Peeta in a head lock it scaried me becuase for a moment I thought Peeta might have died. When Cato fell and the cannon was shot I thought they would be immediatly taken out of the arena. When Claudius made the announcement that there will be only one person standing was a shock to me. I didn't want either one of them to die. I thought it was a good thing to eat the poisonous berries, because for one thing they probably thought Claudius would change the rule back to 2 people could win. Also they both probably didn't want to feel guilt about the other person's death for the rest of their life. I agree with Hannah and how they wanted to make the Gamemakers look bad, and there would have been no winner. When they were finally taken out of the arena, I felt bad for Katniss becuase she wasnt worried about herself, she was worried about Peeta. I thought they both liked each other and it wasn't just for the sponsors or audience. I really wished Katniss made up with Peeta. I absolutely loved this book! I can't wait to read the second enstallment of the Hunger Games!
i wasnt expecting the mutts either, but i was expecting the part where only one person could win. i thought peeta was going to die for katniss. the berries were a bad and good idea. it was a bad idea because the capitol is going to hate them because they were trying to make the capitol look bad. it was a good idea because nobody would win. it was a great way to end the book
I know that this doesn't really explain about chapters 22-27, but there wasn't a section for Haymitch. I know he didn’t say much, but I thought Katniss and him are almost identical. I say this because Haymitch sends Katniss a lot of gifts, and Katniss gets the secret message he is trying to send her. Haymitch and Katniss think a lot alike. One example is how Haymitch didn’t give Katniss water, but Katniss received the message that she was near water. I think Haymitch really does like Katniss. I say this because Haymitch gives Katniss a bunch of gifts to Katniss and not to Peeta. I think that Haymitch was surprised by Katniss’ hug, but I think he liked it. I enjoyed it when Haymitch finally showed that her cared about Katniss by giving her a hug. I think that Haymitch gave Katniss his advice because he is afraid that Katniss may be killed by the capitol for showing them up. I really reassured that Haymitch liked Katniss because he gave her the heads up that if she didn’t use the love tactic she would be killed.
Peeta and Katniss are in the Capital and they are practically superstars. Katniss is dressed in a gorgeous yellow dress and Peeta is in a pair of black trousers and a shirt made of the same material as Katniss’s dress. When they walk on stage Katniss noticed Peeta; he looked so clean and different but he was the same Peeta with his winning smile. Peeta kisses Katniss and the crowd goes berserk. When they get to their seat, Peeta puts his arm around Katniss. Haymitch gave them this look as if he was saying, “That’s not good enough! Make the crowd love you more if you want to live!” Peeta and Katniss seemed to play along with it, of coarse they wanted the audience to love them, if they didn’t, they could be in for some real trouble. When President Snow takes stage and puts the crowns personally on Peeta and Katniss, the crowd goes crazy. What are Peeta and Katniss thinking of what has and what is going to happen to them? I think that they are thinking what did they just get themselves out of. They have been trapped in the hunger games for several weeks, starving, fighting for their own lives, and now they are being treated like royalty; something must be up. What’s in Peeta and Katniss’s future? Who knows what! They have been through everything and there is probably more to come. Will they live with Haymitch or return to their families? Will they continue to hunt for their food or will they get fests of the finest food with out even having to go hunting? Book number two holds the answers.
I totally agree with Lauren! Changing the rules at the last minute was super mean. Katniss and Peeta were smart though. By eating the berries at the same time, the Capital didn't really have a choice but to set the rules back to its original state and crown both champions. I was so excited at this point in the book! From reading the book begining to end, I was really scared that Katniss and Peeta would not survive. I am so glad they did though! They really deserved to be the champions!
I was surprised when the mutts came because it was just a shock. When the mutts came katniss was very worried and did not care about cato at the moment. Then when Cladious said there will only be one person staanding i was not completley surprised that they both ate the poisonous berries because they did not want to have to deal with the death of the other person.
These last few chapters were filled with drama. Afer defeating the hellhounds, Katniss and Peeta went to their interview acting like love birds. On the train ride home Peeta thought that she was loving him to impress her fans. So he breaks up with her.
I noticed there was a lot of drama in these chapters from the poisonous beeries to the breakup. I think the author was suspenseful during the battle scene. He also made my heart beat faster during the pioson berries. It made angry when Peeta broke up with Katniss after all she has done for him, but that just makes the book more suspensful. Now I cant wait for the sequal. :)
I agree with Lauren and Maggie. Changing the rules definitely did turn out great. It's not easy to kill someone you care about in a way. If they didn't change the rules, Katniss would probably be thinking of what could have been. I thought district 12 deserved to win and I'm pretty sure everyone else did. This was an amazing story of action tragedy and lovevand I know I will love the sequel.
the wolfs were awesome. the fact that the gamemakers made the eyes the same color as the competitors or if they used the eyes themselves means that they are much smarter than the filthy sick pigs i thought they were. the giant claws and extreme intelligence makes them even more menicing.
In these last chapters Katniss has loads of situations to be careful of, and problems to think about. She finds herself still resting with Peeta but dearly hopes this is all over with very soon. The last days have been stressful for Katniss to think about so many possibilities as rain just comes pouring down.
It is great that foxface is now dead which leads them to one more competitor. Since foxface died with the berries that also gives Katniss' mind a blow and thinks about the possibility to drop them in front of Cato hoping he will eat them. Though soon the rain stops and they must get going.
They scurry out to see the water has been drained from the ponds. They know the gamemakers want them to go to the lake. Peeta and Katniss sit there for a while wondering where Cato is so they can just kill him and go home.
Eventually when Cato shows up he does not necessarily just show up. Peeta and Katniss see him running towards them. Though Katniss is alarmed by this and gets ready to kill she notices he running from someone, or something.
Cato races past them to find a pack of dogs chasing him. These are not ordinary dogs. These are gamemaker wolves, wolves combined with people. Nevertheless these are not just any people they are the contestants who have died. I assume this must bring sadness to Katniss to see Rue's wolf though she climbs away from them bringing Peeta along. Though it is too late Peeta had been scraped along his leg and it was bad. It hadgotten nearly down to the bone. Katniss tied her shirt around this cutting off his circulation, not knowing if this is the right thing or not Katniss does what I would have done to save it from bleeding out. I am sure Katniss was nervous as I am sure I would be. I would be uncertain if this was the right this and questioning my every move as Katniss did. I would not have that background as my mother being a nurse which ust have helped her reassure herself a little more. As she kills Cato since the wolves are being to slow to do it themselves I am horrified how they change the games to only one can win. I am then sad but satisfied to see them humiliate the capitol as they nearly kill themselves. This brings me re leaved to here there wil be two winners.
Though I am just as sad afterwards as they replaces Peeta's leg. Then President snow is surely mad at Katniss since it was her idea to kill themselves. Lastly it is very upsetting when they return home. It does give me a beautiful image, Katniss in a lovely yellow dress looking as young as fourteen and Peeta with a nice collared shirt the same color as her dress yet this is just the image that flows to my head. I feel Peeta's heart was not only cracked in two but into two billion pieces as well as my own when Katniss tell him her love was only an act. It makes me feel weak and dis- satisfied when Peeta last words in the book was telling Katniss to put on a smile for a crowd. This goes to show the cruelness of the capitol. It tore Katniss into rethinking every move she makes for maybe the rest of her life, it also forced her to think into ways she never asked to do. It was an unfair punishment and tore apart someone she barely knew before the hunger games. This us cruelty, forced to see things no one was never asked to see, forced to grow up and be a stronger person, and forced to come apart from someone you could have loved. This is cruelty and as much as I have enjoyed this book the capitol and bring me to say this book is a great one, but also an awful one

Though besides the capitol I enjoyed the book so much, and i am extremely sad that i finished ;(
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed reading these last few chapters!
ReplyDeleteI was just waiting for the wolves to get to Peeta and take him off of the cornucopia and kill him.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that Katniss and Peeta won!
ReplyDeleteI think it was extremely smart of Katniss to pretend to kill herself and Peeta with the berries.
ReplyDeleteI am commenting on Lauren's post.
ReplyDeleteThat was probably one of the cleverest change of events in any book I have ever read. It was so unpredictable. I never even saw the berry trick coming. What she did nobody expected. It was a stroke of genuis on her part.
ReplyDeleteI agre with Hope. I am glad both Katniss and Peeta survived. It would be hard to write of a sequel if both of them died. Most readers will have become attached to both characters by now. I would have hated it if either of them had died. I think most people would agree with me.
ReplyDeleteI was hanging onto the book so tightly when they almost ate the berries. It was like all they worked through during the games would be a waste. I love the way the author wrote those few pages because of all the suspense she put into it.
ReplyDeleteKatniss was very angry with the capitol.
ReplyDeleteIn these five chapters I was so excited when Cato died! Then the Gamemakers through a twist into the games. Peeta and Katniss were smart to "eat the bad berries at the same time!" Katniss and Peeta both new that the Gamemakers wouldn't want that to happen. It would have been a waste of the games if Katniss and Peeta died!
ReplyDeleteIn these five chapters it was nervewrecking for me!
ReplyDeleteThe final fight between Katniss, Peeta, and Cato was very scary for me, but when the animals came it made it worse.
ReplyDeleteAt the end I didn't like Katniss because she did not try to fix her fight with Peeta.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how long the Games would have gone on had Foxface not eaten the Nightlock berries. Seeing as it is incredibly hard to catch her, and she is swift, I think it would have gone on for, at least, another week.
ReplyDeleteI didn't understand why Cato just charged at, but then right passed, Peeta and Katniss.
ReplyDeleteThe last days of the games were really good.
ReplyDeleteThese chapters were very interesting!
ReplyDeletei wasnt expecting the mutts either, but i was expecting the part where only one person could win. i thought peeta was going to die for katniss. the berries were a bad and good idea. it was a bad idea because the capitol is going to hate them because they were trying to make the capitol look bad. it was a good idea because nobody would win. it was a great way to end the book
ReplyDeletei agree with quevon that the best way for cato to die was to get shot because the mutts would have brought him a slow, painful, and bloody death.
ReplyDeleteI know that this doesn't really explain about chapters 22-27, but there wasn't a section for Haymitch.
ReplyDeletePeeta and Katniss are in the Capital and they are practically superstars.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with Lauren!
ReplyDeleteI was surprised when the mutts came because it was just a shock. When the mutts came katniss was very worried and did not care about cato at the moment. Then when Cladious said there will only be one person staanding i was not completley surprised that they both ate the poisonous berries because they did not want to have to deal with the death of the other person.
ReplyDeleteThese last few chapters were filled with drama. Afer defeating the hellhounds, Katniss and Peeta went to their interview acting like love birds. On the train ride home Peeta thought that she was loving him to impress her fans. So he breaks up with her.
ReplyDeleteI noticed there was a lot of drama in these chapters from the poisonous beeries to the breakup. I think the author was suspenseful during the battle scene. He also made my heart beat faster during the pioson berries. It made angry when Peeta broke up with Katniss after all she has done for him, but that just makes the book more suspensful. Now I cant wait for the sequal. :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with Lauren and Maggie.
ReplyDeletethe wolfs were awesome. the fact that the gamemakers made the eyes the same color as the competitors or if they used the eyes themselves means that they are much smarter than the filthy sick pigs i thought they were. the giant claws and extreme intelligence makes them even more menicing.
ReplyDeleteIn these last chapters Katniss has loads of situations to be careful of, and problems to think about. She finds herself still resting with Peeta but dearly hopes this is all over with very soon. The last days have been stressful for Katniss to think about so many possibilities as rain just comes pouring down.
ReplyDeleteIt is great that foxface is now dead which leads them to one more competitor.
